Loestrin 24 Fe is a form of oral contraceptive containing a high dosage of iron and is is very important to know about Loestrin 24 side effects. It was approved by the Federal Drug Administration in the 21st century. It work by suppressing gonadotropins; essentially stopping ovulation. It also causes changes in cervical and edometrium mucus that contributes to its contraceptive quality.
It is essentially a steroid hormone that is in complex to ferrous fumarate and is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream and begins to act withing minutes of ingestion.
